A deadly explosion in Quetta, a province of Balochistan, killed at least ten individuals, three of them Frontier Corps (FC) men, and injured some others on Tuesday. According to reports, the blast occurred near Zarghoon Road.
At the same time, Pakistani security forces foiled a militant raid on the Frontier Corps' headquarters in Quetta, effectively killing four militants who tried to penetrate the compound.
After the horrific blast, an emergency was announced by the Balochistan Health Department in all hospitals in the city. The victims were quickly moved to the Accident and Emergency Department of the Civil Hospital and the Trauma Centre for immediate medical care. This double violence underscores the tenuous security scenario in the restive province.
This is a developing story. More information will be added as it becomes available.
