Is the Tejas Jet a Safe Aircraft?

This tragedy is only the second crash in the history of the LCA Tejas program. The first happened near Jaisalmer in March 2024, where the pilot safely ejected, showing the aircraft’s strong safety features. The very different outcome this time has raised questions about what went wrong in Dubai. The IAF has said a Court of Inquiry will now look into the exact cause of the crash.
