The dead body of third engineer Hadisur Rahman, who was killed in a rocket attack on a Banglar Samrudhi ship in Ukraine, has reached Bangladesh. His body arrived in Dhaka on a Turkish Airlines cargo plane at 12 noon on Monday.
Hadisur’s relatives were present at the airport at the time. Earlier, Hadisur Rahman’s body was scheduled to reach the country on Sunday. However, the flight was canceled due to snowfall after the body arrived in Turkey from Romania. Hadisur Rahman, the ship’s third engineer, was killed in a rocket attack on a Banglar Samridhi ship in Ukraine on March 2. On March 9, 26 sailors were brought back to Bangladesh. But it was not possible to bring the body of Hadisur Rahman. His body was kept frozen in Ukraine.
