During her honeymoon in Indonesia a few months ago, Shrenu Parikh tried snorkeling for the first time. Sharing her experience, Shrenu said, “I’m really scared of water, but my husband (actor Akshay Mhatre) kept encouraging me to give it a try. He said, ‘Who knows, you might enjoy it.’ And he was right! I thoroughly enjoyed snorkeling in Bali.”
The Ishqbaaaz and Ghar Ek Mandir–Kripa Agrasen Maharaj Ki actress elaborated, “Initially, I was intimidated by the depth and vastness of the ocean, but after about half an hour, I began to enjoy it. Having Akshay nearby was very reassuring. It was a liberating experience, and I loved seeing the corals and colorful fish up close.”
Reflecting on her experience, Shrenu added, “When you look at the ocean, you feel like a tiny speck on Earth. The calmness of the oceans and the huge waves always fascinate me. I love sitting by the beach and watching the sunset. We must do our part to protect the oceans. Every small effort counts, and simply making sure we don’t litter the beaches can make a big difference. We should be responsible tourists and avoid using plastic.”
