This week on We Women Want, we bring back some of the issues we raised in 2022.
BREAST CANCER
The issue of breast cancer is one that needs a lot of awareness because a large number of cases go undetected. Also, the women are usually left to fend for themselves, with the male members of the family either reticent or oblivious to the problem. So we got together a panel of doctors, cancer survivors, and therapists to talk about breast cancer and how they dealt with it. They also gave advice on how to keep an eye out for cancerous growths on your body. IVF The question of IVF remains a mystery for most, and some wannabe parents are apprehensive about trying this treatment. So we bring together a panel of doctors and also parents who have been through IVF to talk about this therapy and explain away any apprehensions regarding the procedure, its success, and its downsides.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Domestic violence is also something that, unfortunately, a large number of women have to deal with within the four walls of their home. What are the options for the victims, both legal and in terms of a support system? What are the signs that one should look for? These are some of the questions that we raise in the show with NGOs, domestic abuse survivors, and legal experts.
We Women Want is a weekly show anchored by Priya Sahgal, Senior Executive Editor at NewsX, that focuses on such issues and tries to create both awareness and support. This week, to begin the New Year, we are showing you three of our most watched episodes of last year.
Catch fresh episodes of ‘We Women Want’ every Saturday at 7:30 PM on NewsX. The program will also be streamed live on major OTT platforms: DailyHunt, Zee5, MX Player, ShemarooMe, Watcho, Mzaalo, Jio TV, Tata Play, and PayTm livestreams.
