A pregnant woman traveling on a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus went into labor and successfully delivered a baby with the assistance of a female bus conductor and a nurse. While en route from Gadwal to Wanaparthy, the woman suddenly experienced labor pains.

The bus was immediately halted, and the female conductor stepped in to assist with the delivery. By chance, a nurse was also on board and helped ensure the safety of both mother and baby. TSRTC Managing Director VC Sajjanar praised the conductor for her quick response and compassionate care, which led to a smooth delivery. After the baby was born, the mother and her newborn were taken to a nearby hospital for further attention.

On X, TGSRTC MD shared a photo of the female conductor with the mother and baby, writing, “On Monday morning, a pregnant woman named Sandhya was traveling to Wanaparthy to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with her brothers on the Gadwal-Wanaparthy route. As the bus reached Nachahalli, the woman suddenly experienced severe stomach pain. The conductor, G Bharati, promptly stopped the bus. With the aid of a nurse who happened to be traveling on the same bus, the woman delivered a baby girl.”

“The mother and child were transported to a local hospital. Currently, both are safe. Congratulations to conductor Bharti on behalf of the management. The prompt and timely assistance provided by her, along with the nurse, ensured the safety of both mother and child. It is commendable that RTC employees are demonstrating such a strong sense of social responsibility while ensuring the safety of their passengers,” added VC Sajjanar.
