Deepak, the son of a welder from Madhya Pradesh, is setting an example for many people who aspire to write competitive examinations by demonstrating that only passion and determination matter in reaching brilliance.

Deepak Prajapati, an aspirant to the IIT from Dewas, MP, who wants to study computer science engineering (CSE), achieved a 99.938 percentile mark in the JEE Mains (round one), bringing honour to his family.

Deepak said, “I completed my preliminary education till the eighth standard in a small public school. It was quite difficult to study after the ninth standard because of the lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, as everything had gone online and we had to purchase a smartphone, which was not quite easy.”

Deepak began studying for the JEE exam after finishing his 11th grade at a private coaching facility that didn’t charge him a fee because of the financial hardship his family was going through. Ramiqbal, his father, did everything in his power to see that his son’s wish came true.

Deepak advised the aspirants who are struggling to perform well despite their best efforts that all it takes is enthusiasm to achieve your goals.
