WarkaWater: The Tower That Pulls Water From Thin Air
WarkaWater is a 30-foot bamboo tower designed to collect clean water from the air in remote, arid regions
Its name comes from the giant Warka tree in Ethiopia, a symbol of shelter and community
Millions lack access to clean water, walking miles daily to fetch contaminated supplies
The tower was developed by architect Arturo Vittori and his team at Architecture and Vision
Using fine mesh netting, it captures rain, fog, and dew, channeling it into a clean water tank
It requires no electricity, costs about $1,000, assembles in under an hour, provides shade, and yields up to 100 liters of water daily
