US Presidential Election: Take A Small Glimpse And Know About It

The US Presidential election is set to commence on November 5-- the official day for voting, although the early elections have already begun

Polling hours will differ by state, with most locations typically operating from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM local time

According to the Indian timing, the polling will start approximately at 4:30 PM IST and will continue till 6:30 AM IST on November 6

Exit polls, used to assess voter opinions and forecast election results, will commence at 5 PM EST, which roughly translates to 2:30 AM IST on November 6

But, the winner of the razor-thin race between Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump may not be known for days after the polls close

As ballots are counted, one candidate may appear to be leading based on early returns, only for a rival to close the gap as more votes are tallied

The United States is heading to one of the closest and highly competitive Presidential Polls in its history as Republican candidate

Former President Donald Trump and Democratic candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris run neck-to-neck, the latest polling data suggested

Both leaders are intensifying their campaigns in the crucial battleground states where the results remain uncertain, particularly in the swing states

According to the latest polling data, Trump is leading against Harris in every swing state by narrow margins

The US states of North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania are generally known as swing states

Therefore, the candidates pay significant attention to the swing states as winning them could well define the next person to sit in the White House for the next four years

Pennsylvania has 19 Electoral votes, North Carolina (16), Georgia (16), Michigan (15), Arizona (11), Wisconsin (10), and Nevada (6), which add up to 93 Electoral College votes

A candidate needs 270 out of the available 538 Electoral votes to be declared the winner
