US President Trump Confirms: India and Pakistan Agree to 'Immediate Ceasefire'

Pakistan’s Deputy PM Ishaq Dar confirmed on X, “Pakistan and India have agreed to a ceasefire with immediate effect, prioritizing peace and regional security”
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio revealed extensive engagement with leaders including PM Modi, PM Sharif, and military chiefs of both nations
Rubio added, “Governments of India and Pakistan will begin talks at a neutral site to address a wide range of issues and ensure lasting peace”
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri stated, “Pakistan’s DGMO called India’s DGMO at 3:35 pm to agree on ceasefire terms effective from 5 pm IST”
Misri also confirmed that both nations ordered their forces to cease all military actions on land, air, and sea starting immediately
The next round of DGMO-level talks will occur on May 12 at noon to assess and strengthen adherence to the ceasefire agreement
