Tragic Georgia School Shooting: Key Highlights

Eight students and one teacher were hospitalized. Thankfully, all are expected to survive. Authorities continue to monitor their recovery as investigations proceed

The suspected shooter, Colt Gray, also 14, was arrested without resistance. He will be charged with murder and tried as an adult, facing serious legal consequences

Last year, Gray was investigated for online threats regarding potential school shootings. However, law enforcement found no probable cause for arrest at that time

The shooting began during an Algebra class, around 9:45 a.m. Law enforcement was alerted by 10:20 a.m. The shooter was quickly confronted by a resource officer and surrendered

Gray used an AR-15-style rifle in the attack. Investigations are ongoing to determine if others were involved or if there was a broader plan targeting other schools
