PM Modi flagged off three Vande Bharat Express trains and inaugurated the long-delayed Yellow Line of Bengaluru’s Namma Metro

He then took a metro ride from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Electronic City station, signaling enhanced urban connectivity

This phase adds 19 km and 16 new stations to Bengaluru’s network, expanding its operational length to over 96 km

The new line is expected to decongest key traffic pinch points like Silk Board Junction and Electronics City

Fares range from ₹10 to ₹90—continuing Bengaluru Metro’s commuter-friendly pricing structure

PM Modi also laid the foundation stone for Phase 3 (Orange Line), a major 44 km expansion worth ₹15,611 crore

The inauguration spotlighted both infrastructure pride and political debates over funding and project credit
