Legendary Folk Singer Sharda Sinha Passes Away

Renowned folk singer Sharda Sinha passed away at the age of 72 due to refractory shock caused by septicemia, as confirmed by AIIMS officials

She had been undergoing treatment for multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer, and was on ventilator support at AIIMS, New Delhi

Sinha, known as "Bihar Kokila," was celebrated for her folk songs in Bhojpuri, Maithili, and Maghahi, particularly popular during Chhath Puja and weddings

Some of her most beloved songs included “Kartik Maas Ijoriya,” “Koyal Bin,” and Bollywood hits like “Taar Bijli” from “Gangs of Wasseypur-II
