Kailash Gahlot Joins BJP Day After Quitting AAP Over 'Embarrassing' Controversies
Former Delhi Minister Kailash Gahlot on Monday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the national capital
This comes a day after he quit the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) alleging that "political ambitions" have overtaken the party's commitment towards people
Gahlot, a prominent Jat leader in the party, also took a jab at Kejriwal as he flagged some "awkward" and "embarrassing" controversies like 'sheeshmahal' in his resignation letter, saying it makes everyone doubt if "we still believe in being 'Aam Aadmi'"
The AAP called Gahlot's resignation as part of a "BJP conspiracy", claiming Gahlot was left with no option due to the increasing pressure from Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigations
He was part of the government for five years, and the BJP was continuously conspiring against him, he was left with no other option but to go with the BJP," AAP MP Sanjay Singh said.
