Four IPL Legends Who Only Played For Mumbai Indians
SACHIN TENDULKAR
He is one of the legends who played exclusively for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL. He joined MI as their icon player before the 2008 mega-auction and remained with them as a player until 2013
After his retirement, he remained with the Mumbai Indians, joining as their icon before IPL 2014 and continuing to guide the team in the T20 league. His son, Arjun, joined the Mumbai Indians in 2021
LASITH MALINGA
He debuted in the IPL with the Mumbai Indians in 2009 and played for them until 2019, missing a couple of seasons along the way. Once the IPL's highest wicket-taker, Malinga took 170 wickets in just 122 matches
He bowled the final over in the IPL 2019 final, securing victory for the Mumbai Indians. He did not play another IPL match after that and is now part of MI's coaching staff
KIERON POLLARD
He scored 3,412 runs and took 69 wickets for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL. He also captained the team in six matches, achieving four wins
JASPRIT BUMRAH
Mumbai Indians signed Jasprit Bumrah before IPL 2013, and he has been with the team ever since. Bumrah continues to excel in the IPL and could potentially play for MI indefinitely
With 165 wickets, he is the second-highest wicket-taker for the Mumbai Indians. He has never captained the team and will likely play under Hardik Pandya again if he is retained before IPL 2025
