Cyclone Dana To Hit Odisha, West Bengal: All You Need To Know About It

The Indian Meteorological Department said Wednesday (October 23) that Cyclone Dana will likely intensify into a severe cyclonic storm 

And it will make landfall in West Bengal and Odisha between Thursday night and Friday morning

“Cyclone Dana moved at a speed of 18km/hr during the last six hours and lay over east-central Bay of Bengal

The cyclone is expected to bring light rainfall in most places, and extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places

Isolated places over South & North 24 Parganas, East & West Medinipur, Jhargram, Howrah, Hooghly, Kolkata and Bankura districts of  West Bengal will also likely witness heavy rainfall during the same period

Cyclone Dana, expected to generate wind speeds of 100-110 kmph and gusts at 120 kmph, is a tropical cyclone
