Heavy rainfall is observed in the temple town of Puri, Odisha. Rainfall in Odisha is expected to increase again from July 11, according to the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Center. Light to moderate rain is predicted for most parts of the state over the next five days.

Alongside Odisha, other states including Assam, Delhi, and Mumbai are severely affected by heavy rains, with forecasts predicting floods in various regions. Mumbai is currently facing intense monsoon rain, prompting the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue a red alert, the highest level of warning in IMD’s color-coded system, signifying extreme weather conditions.
