Amid the grand celebration of Pran Pratishtha ceremony, videos of communal riots go viral. Sunday night in Mumbai, witnessed communal tensions where a group of men were seen physically assaulting people on road carrying flag and celebrating Pran Pratishtha.
In the video, Muslim mobs could be seen going on a rampage and attacking Hindu groups in Maharashtra’s CM Eknath Shinde’s home district Thane’s Mira Road. Stone pelting and vandalizing of vehicles and properties was captured in the video. They were also seen abusing the Hindus on the road.
DGP Jayant Bajbale shared information about the violence that slogans were raised from the vehicle where Hindu community people were travelling. “An argument started with some people belonging to the Muslim community. Seeing the deteriorating situation, the police vehicle immediately reached the spot and took some people into custody,” the DCP said.
However, the situation has been under control. About five people have been registered by the Naya Nagar police, and the arrest have been made. In the meanwhile the investigation is under probe, confirmed the DGP.
