At a campaign rally in Mosinee, Wisconsin, on Saturday, former President Donald Trump made a notable slip by referring to SpaceX and Tesla founder Elon Musk as ‘Leon.’ The error occurred as Trump discussed SpaceX’s planned mission to rescue astronauts stranded aboard the International Space Station (ISS) after a malfunction with their Boeing vessel.

Trump’s Gaffe

During the rally at Central Wisconsin Airport, where Trump spoke from behind bullet-proof glass due to heightened security following a July assassination attempt, he mistakenly called Musk ‘Leon.’ Trump said, “Boeing, I shouldn’t say anything there is a beautiful Boeing plane right there. But, ehh Boeing had a little hard time, so they are going to save—Leon is going to send them a rocket.” He added, “He looks forward to it, that’s all he thinks about is things like that.”

Legal Issues and Rally Focus

In addition to the gaffe, Trump used the rally to address ongoing legal issues, claiming that the Harris-Biden Department of Justice (DOJ) aims to imprison him for exposing corruption. The rally came a day after Trump appeared in court to appeal a decision holding him liable for sexual abuse. He also made a lengthy statement to the press, revisiting past allegations of sexual misconduct in graphic detail, aiming to remind voters of these issues in the final stretch of the campaign.

Trump’s rally in Wisconsin highlighted both his verbal misstep and his ongoing legal battles, underscoring the tumultuous nature of his campaign as he faces various challenges and controversies.
