Virendra Rana, the General Secretary of the BJP District Mandal, stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has committed to achieving a developed India. This commitment can only be realized when collective efforts are made to extend the benefits of government welfare schemes to every individual, ensuring that no one is left behind.
Rana, serving as the chief guest at the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Jan Samvad program held at Namdev Temple in Kalka Municipal Council Ward No. 10 on Friday, highlighted the ‘Nirogi Haryana Scheme’ as a step towards maintaining overall health.
The scheme aims to conduct a complete health checkup for the entire state population at least once every two years. Under this initiative, 1 crore 72 lakh free tests have been conducted for over 32 lakh economically disadvantaged individuals.
Additionally, efforts have been made to provide pension benefits at home by linking social security pension schemes to family identity cards. The annual income limit for eligibility for old age pension has been raised from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 3 lakh, and the monthly pension has been increased to Rs 3000 from January 2024.
As part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, various government departments are setting up stalls in every village to inform the public about central and state government schemes. Rana urged officials to fulfill their responsibilities diligently, ensuring that eligible individuals do not miss out on scheme benefits. He emphasized that realizing the dream of a developed India requires concerted efforts.
During the event, Rana visited stalls set up by various departments, distributed certificates to beneficiaries of various schemes, and administered the oath of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Jan Samvad. The cultural program by participating children was honored with citations.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra proceeded to Shiv Colony Kheda Mandir in Kalka, where Municipal Councilor Nirmala Devi and other dignitaries welcomed the Yatra. Notable attendees included Municipal Council Chairman Krishna Lamba, former BJP District President Ajay Sharma, and other local leaders and officials.
