Virat Kohli is one of the most followed sportspersons around the globe and has a massive fan following on social media. Virat Kohli is the most famous cricketer and has more followers than any footballer, despite cricket being a global sport. The Indian Legend has now achieved a huge milestone and surpassed Neymar Jr in an elite list.

The Indian cricketer has overtaken Neymar Jr and become the second-most-followed sportsperson on X.

Virat now has 63.5 million followers on X. Neymar Jr is followed by 63.4 million users. The race between two sporting giants will be an interesting one as Neymar and overtake Kohli anytime.

Virat has 269 million followers on Instagram which is way ahead of Neymar Jr, he fas 221 million followers.

Cristiano Ronaldo is the most followed sportsperson on social media. He has 630 million followers on Instagram, he is the only person to have more than 600 million followers on social media, along with 111 million followers on X.

Virat Kohli is set to make his on-field return in T20 World Cup 2024 against Ireland on June 5. He had a late arrival in the USA and did not take part in the warm-up match against Bangladesh.

India will kick off their T20 World Cup campaign against Ireland on June 5, they will play against  Pakistan on June 9, and against USA and Canada on 12 and 15 June respectively.

India’s first three matches will take place in New York while the fourth will be held in Lauderhill.
