A video that has gone viral across social media platforms shows a visibly emotional woman, reportedly a Pakistani news anchor, breaking down during a live broadcast. In the clip, she is seen weeping while speaking about the aftermath of Indian airstrikes carried out under ‘Operation Sindoor’. With her voice choked by emotion, she pleads for strength and mercy from Allah, mourning the innocent lives allegedly lost in the military operation.
Though widely shared, the woman’s affiliation with any official news channel remains unverified. FPJ has also not independently confirmed the authenticity of the video. Despite this, many viewers are interpreting the viral footage as a powerful reaction to India’s swift military response to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, in which 26 civilians were killed.
India’s Operation Sindoor: Strategic and Symbolic
Operation Sindoor stands out as one of the most intense counter-terror operations conducted by India in recent years. In a rare tri-service offensive, the Army, Navy, and Air Force jointly targeted nine major terror bases across Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). These included facilities linked to notorious terror outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen.

The airstrikes, executed during the night, lasted just 23 minutes but left significant devastation. Intelligence sources reported that over 80 terrorists were killed and vital terror infrastructure was destroyed. Among the targeted sites was Markaz Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur—considered a key training and ideological hub for JeM—and Lashkar’s major centres in Muridke and Muzaffarabad. Satellite imagery and surveillance confirmed the destruction, with the structures reduced to rubble and their operations effectively neutralised. Officials believe several high-ranking terrorists may have been killed, though verification is still underway.
‘Sindoor’ – A Name Laden with Meaning
The codename ‘Operation Sindoor’ was coined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself. The name draws from the traditional vermillion worn by Hindu married women and serves as a tribute to the women widowed by the Pahalgam attack. The symbolic gesture underscores India’s resolve to fight terrorism and protect families from the devastation left in its wake.
As the world reacts to the operation, both emotionally and strategically, the aftermath of Operation Sindoor continues to unfold across borders and digital platforms alike.
