‘Work As An Executioner’: Dark Twist Of Dating App Hobbies Goes Viral

Dating apps are often filled with quirky bios and humorous introductions, but one New York resident took things to an unexpectedly dark place with his viral dating profile. What started as a seemingly standard introduction quickly turned heads and sparked reactions online for its shocking twist.

The Unusual Introduction

The man, based in New York, began his profile innocuously enough, identifying himself as an entrepreneur interested in meeting women. However, it quickly took an unusual turn. In the bio, he casually mentioned, “I’m an entrepreneur and also work as an executioner in Saudi Arabia. If that scares you then I apologize. It’s more like a hobby (I don’t do it as often since I don’t live in Saudi Arabia anymore).” After this dark revelation, he went on to mention more ordinary interests such as watching movies, going out, and listening to music.

HAVE A LOOK AT THE VIRAL POST:

Social Media Uproar

The dating profile gained viral traction after a user on X (formerly Twitter) shared a screenshot with the caption: “Friend saw this guy on the apps lol.” The post, which quickly amassed over a million views, drew a mix of shock, confusion, and humor from social media users.

Reactions to the ‘Hobby’

People in the comments section of X were both horrified and amused by the profile’s bizarre twist. One user sarcastically joked, “My hobbies include listening to music, going out, cutting people’s heads off, watching movies, the usual.” Another person speculated that it might be a language issue, saying, “I’m telling myself that he has to mean something else, maybe it got lost in translation, but I can’t figure out what.”

However, what struck many as most chilling was the casual mention of decapitation as a “hobby.” One commenter remarked, “The part that it’s a hobby makes it somehow worse.”

The Reality Behind the Dark Joke

Saudi Arabia remains the only country in the world where beheading is still used as a method of execution, with the death penalty being applied for various crimes including murder, adultery, homosexuality, and treason. This context further fueled the debate online, as people reflected on the casual nature in which such a grim occupation was mentioned.

Viral Impact

The viral post sparked widespread discussions, with some users questioning the authenticity of the profile and others debating whether it was a poorly executed attempt at dark humor. Regardless, the profile and its bizarre mix of lightheartedness and grim content provided plenty of food for thought—and jokes—for those who came across it online.

While dating profiles are usually intended to catch someone’s attention, this one certainly did so in a way that no one expected.
