In a disturbing incident from Greater Noida West’s Eco Village-1 Society, a 37-year-old woman suffered critical injuries after falling from a 20-feet high podium while trying to escape a sudden dog attack. The mishap occurred during her routine morning walk on Monday and has sparked serious concerns over pet safety in residential complexes.
The entire episode was caught on CCTV, where the woman can be seen walking peacefully when a leashed pet dog suddenly lunged at her. In a desperate attempt to dodge the attack, she lost her balance and plunged from the podium. Moments later, a man can be seen running to her aid, as captured in another CCTV footage.

“The dog suddenly pounced on her, due to which she lost her balance and fell down,” an eyewitness said, recounting the terrifying moment. The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared her condition critical. She was taken straight to the operation theatre for emergency treatment.
Speaking to the media, the woman’s husband expressed deep concern, saying, “Around nine o’clock, she had gone for a morning walk on the podium in the society as usual. A woman was also walking her pet dog. At that time, the dog attacked her.” He also mentioned that the couple has a four-month-old daughter, adding to the emotional gravity of the incident.
Residents are now demanding stricter rules regarding pet safety within the society. The housing association is yet to release an official statement.
