A group of Indian travellers turned Paris’s Eiffel Tower into a lively stage for an impromptu Bollywood-style concert. The group performed the timeless Hindi song Aaja Sanam Madhur Chandni Mein, a romantic classic from the 1951 film Chori Chori, originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Manna Dey much to the delight of onlookers.
The music, expertly filmed, is of the three harmonizing as they stand close to the iconic monument. Foreign tourists passing by paused to listen, and many of them clapped and swayed to the rhythm. The harmony of Indian soul sounds blending with the landscape of Paris is one such moment of cross-cultural celebration that struck a chord among the audience.
It was captioned, “Every tourist enjoyed Indian song with us at the Eiffel Tower, Paris, France.” It soon went viral on the internet, winning hearts for its unplanned and genuine celebration of Indian music globally.

Not realizing that the annoying tune was a public cleanliness campaign song played from trash trucks, Deanna confessed, “I didn’t know. I just thought it was a happy morning tune.” She continued, “My new favorite song in India! This was all I would hear in the mornings at one time. I had no idea what it said… but damn, what a banger!”
The jingle she was talking about—Swachh Bharat Ka Irada was written by Prasoon Joshi and performed by Kailash Kher. In her video, a garbage truck is playing the tune while driving down the streets, amusing and charming her.
