In Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu, a government bus collided with a roadside shop as it was departing from its stop. Losing control, the bus crashed into a nearby sweet shop, causing extensive damage to its front. Reports indicate that a woman, who was working inside the shop, sustained injuries and was swiftly transported to the hospital for treatment.
Departing from Periyakulam on Monday morning, the bus traveled to Dindigul via Karur, covering approximately 210 kilometers without encountering any technical issues. However, upon leaving the Dindigul bus station for Theni at 1:45 pm, the driver disregarded regulations by driving at an excessive speed. Instead of turning left, the bus proceeded straight ahead, resulting in a collision with the shop.

The day prior, the bus functioned without encountering any maintenance problems. As per the TNSTC statement, the accident was attributed to the bus driver’s negligent behavior, leading to disciplinary measures being implemented against him.
