Watch Scary Video: Terrifying Moment Woman Is Swept Away By Massive Waves In Sochi

A shocking video of a woman being swept away by massive waves in Sochi, Russia, has captured the attention of the Internet. The incident occurred on June 16, when a 20-year-old woman was walking by the beach with her boyfriend.

In the viral video, the couple is seen holding hands and playfully teasing each other as they stroll along the beach. Suddenly, they are knocked down by strong waves. While the man manages to save himself, the powerful waves sweep the woman away. The video ends with the man desperately searching for his girlfriend.

Collin Rugg, an X user, shared the video with the caption, “Woman gets swept out to sea as her boyfriend frantically tries to help save her in Sochi, Russia. Devastating. The incident reportedly happened while the couple was visiting from the Russian city of Lipetsk.”

The Southern Regional Search and Rescue Brigade reported that the couple approached the water’s edge when massive waves came and swallowed the woman, whose identity remains undisclosed. The man attempted to save her, but it was too late. “The search has not returned any results at this time. The work continues,” the rescue brigade stated.

Rescuers have expanded their search from Riviera Beach to the Mamayka microdistrict in an effort to locate the missing woman. The video has garnered 5.2 million views and sparked numerous reactions online.

One user commented, “Don’t walk or swim into waves that large unless you’re an experienced swimmer.” Another user wrote, “How horrible. I saw this earlier today. My only thought was the boyfriend did not work very hard in his attempt to save her. Sad.” A third user shared a personal experience, stating, “Horrible tragedy! I was caught in a riptide at age 12. I am alive but by the grace of God.”

The video serves as a grim reminder of the dangers posed by the ocean, especially during turbulent conditions. The search for the missing woman continues, as authorities and the public remain hopeful for a positive outcome.
