During his Independence Day address to the nation, Prime Minister Modi expressed the nation’s profound gratitude to the freedom fighters, emphasizing that the country remains deeply indebted to their sacrifices. He stressed that Independence Day is a time to honor and remember the courage and dedication of those who fought for India’s freedom. Modi urged citizens to reflect on these sacrifices and to continue building a stronger and more developed India, carrying forward the legacy of the freedom struggle.
In his speech, PM Modi also voiced concern over the increasing impact of natural disasters in recent years, highlighting the growing anxiety among the population due to the frequent occurrence of these calamities.
Moreover, the Prime Minister reiterated that the 140 crore citizens of India can achieve the goal of a prosperous and developed nation by working together with a united resolve. “There may be challenges and shortages of resources but people united in their goal can overcome them to achieve their target,” PM Modi stated.
Speaking about his vision for a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047, Modi mentioned that people from all corners of the country and various communities have offered suggestions for the national agenda. He cited ideas such as reforming the justice system, launching campaigns for capacity building, and developing India’s traditional systems of medicine as part of this collective effort.
