A “motionless” man found floating in a pond in Telangana was discovered by locals, who promptly alerted the authorities and 108 paramedics. The incident occurred near Hanamkonda’s Reddypuram Kovelakuntla. The man, a quarry worker, had reportedly been lying still in the water for approximately five hours. However, there was a surprising twist to this story. When officials and residents arrived at the scene, they encountered an unexpected turn of events.
According to Indian Express, a rescue team and emergency medical services rushed to the scene. In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter), a policeman is seen trying to pull the shirtless man out of the pond.
The officer carefully started dragging the “body” ashore by hand as a crowd gathered around. Suddenly awakened, the “body” turned to face the policeman, wondering who was pulling him from the water. The police officers and onlookers laughed at the situation.
The video quickly gained attention, garnering over 61,000 views on the social media platform, with the comments section filled with laughter emojis.
One user commented, “Watching this 5th time and laughing like hell.”

According to Telangana Today, the man, identified as a resident of the Kavali area in Nellore District, had decided to take a nap in the water to relieve his fatigue.
The man explained to the police officers that he had entered the lake to “relax” and that he worked as a laborer in a granite plant in Kazipet, as reported by the news outlet. “I work 12 hours a day. I was very tired.”
He further stated, “I wanted to relax for some time and so decided to lie in the water for some time.”
The police informed him that locals had called them, believing he had passed away and requesting that they retrieve his “body.”
The report also mentioned that the man clarified he was not intoxicated and intriguingly asked the police officers to lend him Rs 50 so he could get home to Kazipet.
