Watch: Forest Officials Heroically Save Baby Elephant From The Brink

IFS officer Parveen Kaswan often shares motivating stories of wildlife and the relentless work of forest officials to save animals. Recently, he shared a heart-wrenching story on X of saving a premature baby elephant in the last leg of its life along with his team. And the post has moved many hearts:.

Kaswan reported, the “tiny, premature calf was pulled from the raging waters of the Torsha River.” The rescued baby elephant, a few days old, weak, and alone, was named Beer.

Kaswan elaborated a bit more on it: “He was fed lactogen milk, fruits, and later solid foods. Beer slowly recovered. Cheron Subba, a park staffer, played an important role in the recovery of Beer, sleeping alongside him for first four months. Today, fours years later, Beer is an integral and thriving member of our National Park family.”

Accompanying his post, Kaswan shared a video of the transformation of Beer-from the initial rescue to his playful interactions with forest officials today.
