A viral video shows a chain snatcher brazenly targeting a woman at a restaurant during daytime, gaining traction online. Sources state that this incident occurred at a dining establishment on Tehsil Camp Road in Panipat, Haryana.

The CCTV video captures a man, wearing a helmet, posing as a food order collector inside the restaurant. As the footage unfolds, he is seen grabbing a chain from a woman who is enjoying pizza with her friends. Following the snatcher’s getaway, a member of the staff emerges from the kitchen region. Based on the timestamp shown in the video, the event occurred approximately at 3:40 pm on June 8th.

Sharing the video on X, journalist Sanjay Tripathi wrote, “Watch the audacity of a chain snatcher inside a restaurant in Panipat, Haryana.”

The video received numerous responses, garnering more than 274,000 views. One X user commented, “Hotel Management and the customers should have been careful and vigilant when they saw someone with a helmet for so long. That was a definite red flag.”

Another user wrote, “This man was standing so close to the table and was continuously looking at the woman for so long. Why didn’t the woman feel awkward? Usually, women sense such things immediately.”

“Guy standing there that too with a helmet for such a long time and those girls and hotel staff are so casual,” a third user said.

The previous week, footage surfaced on social media depicting a thief entering a restaurant in Rajasthan and taking a customer’s cell phone. The video, which went viral, captured the thief seated behind his target’s cubicle, reaching into the man’s pocket.
