Urvashi Rautela Claims Temple in Her Name Exists Near Badrinath | VIRAL

It’s only a few select stars of Indian cinema that can boast to have temples constructed in their honor by their followers names such as Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, and Nayanthara head that short list. It now appears that actor Urvashi Rautela has become a part of this elite group.

In a chat with host Siddharth Kannan, Urvashi dropped this unexpected hint casually. “Already mere naam ka mandir hai, Urvashi mandir. Aap Badrinath ke mandir ke darshan karne jaoge na, uske theek baaju mein there is a mandir, called ‘Urvashi’,” she said.

Siddharth, like all of us, was surprised by the sudden assertion and attempted to verify her assertion three times. Each time, Urvashi replied assertively, “Haan, Urvashi mandir wahan pe hai.”

Urvashi Wishes For Another Temple in South

While these are surely thought of as a rather important spiritual accomplishment by many, Urvashi is already planning ahead. She told TOI that she had wished for yet another temple to be built in South India. Why? Because she’s recently been causing a stir in the Southern film industry and wishes to provide her fans there with a shrine just like the fans of the local film stars she’s collaborated with.

“Within 1.5 years, I debuted in the industry with megastar Chiranjeevi. Then I worked with Pawan Garu Kalyan, with two films, then worked with Balaya Babu. My only desire is that if they have temples of him, then something like that should happen in South too, for the people who are my fans over there, something should happen there,” she told.

Continuing to try and determine if she was absolutely in earnest, Siddharth persisted, which induced Urvashi to respond with, “Haan kaam South mein ho raha hai na, toh South mein hona chahiye.”

When she was asked where her temple in the North actually is, Urvashi clarified that it’s roughly a kilometre along the Char Dham path and accessible to anyone going to the Badrinath temple. Wondering whether devotees indeed pray there as in any normal temple, Siddharth asked the question straight out. Urvashi answered with a smiling, “Arre mandir hai! Wahi toh karenge.”
