In a disturbing incident, a human fetus was found hanging from high-voltage overhead electrical wires near the Sahjanwa railway station in Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur district on Friday. The fetus, spotted dangling roughly 20 feet above the ground near the Keshavpur power substation behind Platform-2, left locals in shock.
Residents quickly alerted police after noticing the fetus entangled in the wires. Authorities arrived at the scene and safely retrieved the remains before sending them for a post-mortem examination.
Superintendent of Police (North) Jitendra Srivastava said, “We’re analyzing CCTV footage and conducting door-to-door inquiries in nearby homes. It’s possible the fetus was thrown from a nearby railway-side building, but investigations are ongoing.”
The incident has triggered concern and outrage in the area. Police continue to explore all angles, including whether the act was deliberate or an attempt to dispose of the fetus in secrecy.
