Dr. David Pincus, a plastic surgeon based in Long Island, faces lawsuits for medical malpractice and sexual harassment, including unauthorized procedures, neglect of post-surgical care, and workplace misconduct.
Unconsented Medical Procedures and Patient Complaints
One former patient alleged that she consulted Dr. Pincus in 2021 for a tummy tuck but was subjected to an unexpected mons-lift procedure. “You had a very low vagina, so I had to lift it up,” Pincus reportedly told her post-surgery. The patient claims she was unaware of the procedure beforehand and now faces an additional $40,000 in corrective surgery costs. In another case, a patient accused Pincus of ignoring clear signs of infection after a 2022 breast reduction, which escalated to severe sepsis and necrosis. The woman required multiple emergency surgeries, including skin grafts, to address the damage.
Workplace Misconduct and Harassment Claims
Beyond medical malpractice, Pincus faces disturbing accusations of workplace sexual harassment. A former employee alleged that he made inappropriate advances, including grabbing her breasts and making degrading comments. She claimed Pincus coerced her into calling him “Daddy” and made explicit remarks after performing her breast augmentation. Additionally, a 2020 lawsuit accuses him of inappropriate comments directed at the 15-year-old daughter of an employee who interned at his clinic.
Doctor’s Defense
Pincus has vehemently denied the allegations. His attorney labeled the lawsuits as “baseless and frivolous,” asserting that Pincus will vigorously defend his reputation. “I refuse to be the victim of extortion,” Pincus stated, emphasising his track record of over 7,000 treated patients and numerous positive reviews.
