TTE Harassed And Demanded Rs 150 Bribe From On-Duty Soldiers To Kashmir | WATCH

In a disturbing incident that has triggered national outrage, two Indian soldiers, Subedar Vinod Kumar Dubey and Agniveer Zaheer Khan, were allegedly harassed by a railway ticket examiner while on their way from Gwalior to Kashmir. Their leave had been abruptly cancelled due to rising tensions with Pakistan, and they had to report back to their units urgently.

Despite holding valid general coach tickets, the overcrowding on Malwa Express (12919) forced them into a reserved compartment. When the train reached Sonipat in Haryana, the soldiers were confronted by a travelling ticket examiner (TTE) identified as Diljit Singh.

The TTE allegedly refused to acknowledge their situation, even after the soldiers showed their identity cards and general tickets—and reportedly demanded a bribe of ₹150. The soldiers recorded the exchange on video, which was later shared online and went viral, sparking widespread criticism.

Responding to the viral video and public outrage, Indian Railways took swift action by suspending the TTE. In an official statement, the Chief Commercial Inspector (CMI) of Sonipat condemned the incident and confirmed that an internal inquiry is underway.

Authorities assured the public that strict disciplinary action would follow against all those involved, reinforcing that such conduct towards serving personnel will not be tolerated.
