Former U.S. President Donald Trump, known for his candid remarks, didn’t hold back during his Middle East tour when he commented on a symbolic gift from the United Arab Emirates. The UAE had presented him with a small vial containing a sample of Murban crude oil—one of their most premium exports.
Reacting to the gesture, Trump jokingly said, “The highest quality oil there is on the planet, and they only gave me a drop of it. So, I’m not thrilled! But it’s better than no drop.” The comment sparked laughter, especially from UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Adnoc CEO, Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, who was present during the interaction.
In response to Trump’s light-hearted complaint, Adnoc responded playfully on social media: “Don’t worry, there’s plenty more where that came from.”

What Makes Murban Oil So Special?
Murban is a light, sweet crude oil with low sulfur content, making it easier and cheaper to refine. It’s especially suitable for producing high-grade diesel, jet fuel, and premium gasoline. The UAE exports about 1.6 million barrels daily and has the capacity to produce up to 2 million.
Trump’s Tour Ends With Qatar Jet Controversy
Trump’s visit also stirred controversy after he reportedly accepted a $400 million Boeing aircraft from Qatar, with plans to modify it for potential use as a new Air Force One and later place it in his presidential museum. While Democrats called the offer an act of bribery, Trump brushed off the criticism, saying, “I’d be foolish to reject a free plane.”
