A strange incident left traffic stuck on a busy Bengaluru road when a man was seen sleeping on a mattress in the middle of oncoming traffic. A video of the incident, posted by the X account Karnataka Portfolio, reveals cars stopping short and lining up as the man slept undisturbed in the midst of the mayhem.
It is alarming to see the sort of turmoil that is taking place on Bengaluru's crowded roads. This kind of conduct is thoroughly irresponsible and unacceptable. Regardless of whether the man is mentally unsound or consciously doing this act, it is a very irresponsible act that not only jeopardizes his own life but also risks unsuspecting commuters," Karnataka Portfolio wrote in their update.
With their post, Karnataka Portfolio asked the authorities to act swiftly in instances like this, clear such obstacles, and maintain public safety.

The Bengaluru Traffic Police, on the other hand, replied to the post requesting the location of the incident. Karnataka Portfolio subsequently clarified that it occurred near the St. Joseph's University bus stop. Shortly thereafter, the Bengaluru Traffic Police referenced the official Halasuru Gate Traffic Police Station account in order to take action.
The video has gone viral, with many people expressing outrage on social media. Some social media users were convinced that the man faked the act to capture reels. Others claimed that he knew well what he was doing and was doing it intentionally. While denouncing the act, others also demanded to know why his reckless act was done.
