Three Indian Destinations Named In TIME’s ‘World’s Greatest Places Of 2024’

TIME has unveiled its annual list of the World’s Greatest Places for 2024, highlighting 100 remarkable destinations. Among those featured are three Indian locations:

  1. Museum of Solutions (MuSo) in Mumbai
  2. Manam Chocolate in Hyderabad
  3. NAAR in Himachal Pradesh

Museum of Solutions (MuSo)

Situated in Mumbai’s Lower Parel district, is a unique children’s museum designed to foster creativity and community impact. Spanning 100,000 square feet, the museum offers thematic exhibits, immersive experiences, and a variety of learning programs.

It includes four specialized labs for children aged two to 17, focusing on math, physics, art, and other STEAM subjects, as well as a 220-seat amphitheater, library, recycling center, café, and a three-dimensional interactive maze called Luckey Climber.

“We are deeply honored to be included in TIME’s World’s Greatest Places to Visit,” said Tanvi Jindal Shete, the museum’s founder. She credited the recognition to the hard work of the staff, volunteers, and partners and expressed gratitude to all visitors.

Manam Chocolate

Established by Chaitanya Muppala of Almond House fame, continues the family tradition of crafting artisanal sweets. Located in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, Manam Chocolate stands out for its commitment to showcasing Indian craft chocolates on an international stage.

It collaborates with local farmers and fermenters in Andhra Pradesh’s West Godavari district and has received acclaim from the International Institute of Chocolate and Cacao Tasting and the U.K.’s Academy of Chocolate.

NAAR

Founded by Prateek Sadhu in Himachal Pradesh, offers a refined dining experience amid the Himalayas. Situated at the Amaya boutique hotel, NAAR provides a unique interpretation of Himalayan cuisine.

Sadhu, known for his acclaimed restaurant Masque in Mumbai, remarked to TIME that the absence of a conventional blueprint for such a restaurant in India makes the venture especially exciting.

TIME’s list this year expanded to 100 destinations, up from 50 in the previous year, focusing on places that provide fresh and exhilarating experiences
