‘Sivaji of Singapore’ Artiste Asokan Dies at 60 After Collapsing During Live Show

Singaporean artiste Asokan S/O Muniyandy, affectionately known as the “Sivaji of Singapore” due to his striking resemblance to the legendary Tamil actor Sivaji Ganesan, sadly passed away on October 12, 2024, at 60. Celebrated for his impressive impersonations, Asokan entertained audiences throughout Singapore and Malaysia with his captivating performances.

During a recent live event, Asokan collapsed on stage shortly after being seen dancing. He fell face-first onto the ground, and the moment was captured on video, which quickly circulated across social media platforms, leaving viewers in shock and sorrow. The exact venue of the performance is still unknown, but the footage has prompted widespread grief and numerous tributes honoring the talented performer.
