A shocking case of animal cruelty has emerged from Bengaluru’s Jayanagar, where a 23-year-old daily wage worker was caught sexually abusing a stray dog in the early hours of Friday. The disturbing incident took place at Shalini Ground, leaving residents outraged and demanding strict action.
Caught in the Act
A local animal feeder, who arrived at the scene, witnessed the horrifying act. She noticed the man assaulting the dog, leaving it wounded and in distress. Horrified by what she saw, she raised an alarm, calling for help from other animal lovers in the area. The man, reportedly under the influence of alcohol and drugs, was caught by the locals before he could escape.
According to reports, this was not the first such incident. The same feeder claimed that she had seen the accused engaging in similar acts before, but he had managed to flee on a previous occasion.

Dog Rescued, Man Arrested
The injured stray dog was immediately given first aid and sent for medical treatment under the care of veterinarians. Meanwhile, the accused was handed over to the Jayanagar police, who registered a case against him under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Demand for Strict Punishment
The incident has sparked outrage among local residents and animal rights activists, who are calling for stringent action against the accused. Animal welfare groups have urged authorities to ensure that such acts of cruelty are met with harsh legal consequences to prevent further abuse.
The case is currently under investigation, and authorities are reviewing video evidence provided by the eyewitness to ensure justice is served.
