One of the top spinners in modern cricket, Rashid Khan, has officially tied the knot. The Afghanistan star spinner got married on October 3 in a traditional ceremony held in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.
Videos from the wedding have since gone viral, creating a buzz across social media platforms. Widely regarded as the best T20I spinner in the world, Rashid’s wedding followed the customs of the Pashtun community.
Many players from Afghanistan’s national cricket team attended the celebration, adding to the occasion’s grandeur.

A video circulating online shows several people outside the hotel where the wedding took place, visibly carrying guns, which added to the heightened attention surrounding the event.

Numerous Afghan cricketers shared their well wishes for Rashid on social media. Mohammad Nabi, a veteran of the Afghanistan cricket team, was among the first to publicly congratulate Rashid on his wedding.
