A disturbing incident unfolded in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh on the occasion of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti, as a woman was allegedly molested during a Shobha Yatra and then publicly scolded by a police inspector when she sought help. The shocking episode, caught on camera, has sparked widespread outrage after the video went viral on social media.
According to reports, the incident occurred in the Civil Lines area of Aligarh on Monday (April 14). As the Ambedkar Jayanti procession moved through the area, a woman walking along the road was reportedly harassed by a group of men. Distressed and seeking justice, she approached the Civil Lines Inspector on the spot to report the molestation.
Instead of registering her complaint or offering support, the officer allegedly blamed her in front of the crowd. In the viral video, the woman is heard expressing her anger: “Kyuki tum use bachcha keh rahe ho. Yehi bachche jo jitne bhi rape hote hai na bachche hi karte hai.” She also voiced her disappointment over the police’s reaction, stating that she expected support but was instead humiliated.
