Preity Zinta was seen visibly heartbroken after Punjab Kings defeat to RCB in the 2025 final, prompting an outpouring of support from fans.
After the PBKS defeat by Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL 2025 final the co-owner Preity Zinta was seen wiping away her tears. Pictures of Zinta fighting back tears while wearing a red dupatta and white kurta quickly went viral on social media after RCB won their maiden IPL championship. Her unwavering dedication and support to her team throughout the years were brought into the spotlight.

Fans flooded X with messages of support. One wrote, “A trophy goes to the person who was there since the start, since 2008. Unlike other owners who just showed up this season and pretended to be always there, Preity Zinta came every year travelling miles just to support her team through thick and thin. She was always there at our lowest. Still never trolled anyone, respected and appreciated her fans always. She deserves the world. STAY STRONG PZ!! Preity Zinta, even in her disappointment, was seen walking up to the PBKS players, offering words of comfort and encouragement.
In the final match, RCB scored 190 runs for 9 wickets after choosing to bat first. Although Arshdeep Singh and Kyle Jamieson took three wickets each for Punjab, their efforts couldn’t stop RCB’s strong performance.
While RCB celebrates, many IPL fans are mourning the defeat with Zinta. She may not have walked away with the trophy, but she most certainly won the internet’s heart.
