Pankha off, Love on: Bihar Woman Falls for Electrician, Ends Up Married

They say that love can come when you are not even looking, and that is what exactly happened in a Bihar village. A woman married a repair man of ceiling fans after a series of informal visits developed into a full-fledged romance.

Here’s the full love story:

Speaking to Khabar Express in an interview, the technician elaborated on how it began. “Pankha kharab tha toh gaon mein toh koi bhi bula hi leta hai. Inhone phone kara mujhe aur bulaya humko,” he said. The fan was not working, and like everyone else in the village, she called someone over from near her.

After he had repaired the fan, the woman requested his number and said she would call him straight away next time it broke. What had started out as just a brief encounter turned into regular visits, and soon, there was a stronger bond.

Breaking her silence about her emotions, the lady told, “Inke bina humara mann nahi lagta tha thoda bhi. Inse pyaar ho gaya tha bohot zyada.” She revealed that she had feelings for him right from the start but never revealed them to him. When she realized he was not paying her much attention, she smartly kept finding reasons to call him, sometimes for the fan, sometimes for the light or dish TV.

As they visited each other, so did they become closer. Over time, the two of them chose to marry, cementing their unusual love tale.

The story of the couple was posted on X (previously Twitter) in a video with the sarcastic caption: “Leave beginners, Bihar is not for legends even. Pankha theek karte karte pyaar ho gaya, shaadi kar li.”

Social media users were quick to respond with love and humor. “Both are so cute,” said one user, while another one cracked, “Looks like her fan.” Another cracked, “Bihar is living in 2050.”

Interestingly, this is not the first time a non-traditional love story captured the internet’s attention. Another such story from China was trending on the internet after a man accidentally ran over a woman. While she was recovering, he nursed her, and three weeks later, she revealed that she had fallen in love with him. The two eventually got married.
