Netizens react to SC’s judgement on demonetisation

As the Supreme Court upheld the decision of the Central government taken in 2016 to demonetise the currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 denominations, netizens took to Twitter to share their reaction and #Demonetisation took over top trends. Anurag Thakur tweeted, “Today’s landmark judgment by Hon. Supreme Court upholds the Union Government’s decision on Demonetisation and dispels the misinformation campaign and propaganda spread by the opposition.” Prashant Bhushan tweeted, “Very creditable and courageous for the junior most and only woman judge on this bench, Justice Nagarathna to dissent and hold that the exercise for Note ban was arbitrary and without proper application of mind. This mindless decision taken by PM alone destroyed economy and lives of millions.”
