A disturbing incident from Mumbai’s Malad area has sparked public outrage after CCTV footage surfaced showing a man throwing a cat from the ninth floor of a building. The act reportedly occurred in the Malvani locality and led to the death of the animal on the spot after it hit a metal sheet below.
Chilling CCTV Clip Goes Viral
In the viral CCTV footage, the cat can be seen calmly perched on a shoe rack near a window. Moments later, a man enters the frame carrying a bag, walks past the cat, places his belongings near his door, and then walks back. Without hesitation, he lifts the cat and throws it out of the window.
The cat’s fatal fall was caught on camera and has since prompted widespread calls for justice.

Accused Identified, Locals Demand Action
The accused has been identified as Kasam Sayyed, a resident of the same building. Another video doing the rounds on social media shows a local man recording the aftermath of the incident. In the clip, he shows Sayyed’s house and the window from where the cat was thrown, while holding a letter addressed to the in-charge of Malvani police station.
He can be heard saying, “We have written to the police and informed local MLA Aslam Shaikh. We want justice.” The video has intensified demands for legal action against Sayyed, though no official confirmation of police action has been reported so far.
