Authorities have registered a case against BJP leader Manohar Lal Dhakad after an alleged objectionable video involving him and a woman surfaced online. The video, said to be recorded on May 13, reportedly shows Dhakad in a compromising position with a woman near a white vehicle on the Delhi-Mumbai 8-lane expressway. The footage, allegedly captured by a CCTV camera, quickly went viral, triggering outrage and political distancing.
According to official records from the Transport Department, the vehicle in the video is registered under Dhakad’s name. His wife is an elected District Panchayat member from Ward No. 8 in Bani village, Mandsaur. Following the uproar, the Dhakad Mahasabha Youth Association dismissed him from the post of National General Secretary.

BJP Distances Itself From Dhakad
The BJP clarified that Manohar Lal Dhakad is not a primary member of the party. “He had joined through online registration,” the party stated, adding that it holds no official ties with him. Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the viral video and filed an FIR to initiate further investigation.
