Mother Horrified To Discover ‘Blood’ In Daughter’s Burger King Meal; Company Expresses Deep Concern

A New York woman was stunned to find what looked like “blood splashed over her daughter’s Burger King kids’ meal” after purchasing it. On Friday, Tiffany Floyd took her 4-year-old through a fast food drive-through, only to discover the meal drenched in a crimson liquid. Her daughter had requested the meal without ketchup, and Floyd was dismayed to find what she thought was a mix-up. It turned out that the fries and burger were covered in blood rather than ketchup.

Speaking to the New York Post, Floyd recounted, “All I heard was, ‘Mom, I don’t want ketchup,’ so I grabbed her bag, thinking that they messed up our order again, and I looked and there was just blood all over her hamburger, all over the wrapper. I looked inside the bag, there’s blood on her toys, everything.”

Floyd contacted the restaurant, where manager Dan told her that a chef had injured his hand and was bleeding. Dan apologized and offered a refund if Floyd returned.

Floyd also consulted her daughter’s pediatrician, who advised that they would need to wait 30 days to test the child’s blood for potential infections. Floyd suggested that testing the injured worker might be a simpler solution, but management refused to reveal the employee’s identity.

She reported the incident to the Niagara County Department of Health, where the local health inspector relayed that the manager admitted to the injury but downplayed the severity of the bleeding.

Floyd reached out to Burger King’s corporate headquarters via their website, and the company later promised to cover her daughter’s medical expenses. However, Floyd told the New York Post, “We did tell Burger King that medical expenses was not enough.” She also mentioned that her daughter had not eaten since the incident and expressed deep concern that her daughter might need professional help. According to the New York Post, Burger King expressed its “deep upset and concern to learn of this incident.”
