A shocking incident in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, has witnessed the brutal assault of a lady constable who was walking uninformed on the street. The attack, which took place in full public view, has raised serious concerns regarding the safety of women in the region.
The attack started when a biker approached Constable Amreen, who was walking on the road during her personal time. The biker first initiated a short conversation with her before misbehaving. The situation turned ugly when the biker slapped and dragged the constable to the ground. In the video, the attacker was seen touching her inappropriately as the scuffle took place in front of stunned bystanders.
Matters escalated as more males joined the fray, continuously attacking the constable. Even the elderly man attempted to stop the attack; however, the attackers still continued by kicking and slapping Amreen. As the woman struggled, the constable attempted to resist and perhapspull out her phone, possibly to dial local authorities.
Following the shocking assault, a case was officially registered. Amreen provided a statement mentioning that the incident occurred during her private time, and she was harassed and attacked by the men without provocation.
Moradabad Police responded swiftly to the incident, releasing a statement on social media acknowledging the case and assuring that legal action is underway. “In relation to the abuse, assault, indecency, etc. committed by some individuals against a woman constable under the jurisdiction of Police Station Civil Lines, a case has been registered under relevant sections, and further legal proceedings are ongoing,” stated the police.
The video of the attack, which quickly went viral, has sparked outrage across social media platforms. Citizens are expressing concern over the safety of women in the region, especially considering that the assault took place in broad daylight on a busy street.
As the investigation unfolds, there is mounting pressure on local authorities to ensure justice is served and to address the broader issue of women’s safety in the area.
