Marilyn vos Savant with the highest ever recorded IQ ranked 228, is an American author face who recently gained international popularity. Marilyn Mach was born on August 11, 1946, in St. Louis, Missouri. Vos demonstrated high intelligence from at very early age which is rarely found in children. Her parents were Joseph Mach and Marina vos Savant, and she was persuaded to retain her mother's name, deeming that daughters should always have their mother's surname.

Early Life and Education

Marilyn was a brilliant and curious child growing up in St. Louis. She scored 228 when at age 10, she took two IQ tests, the Stanford-Binet and the Mega Test, which resulted in her being included in the Guinness Book of World Records as the individual with the highest IQ

She studied at Meramec Community College and went on to study philosophy at Washington University in St. Louis. She dropped out of college after two years to assist her family's investment business.

Career and Achievements

Marilyn after her birth relocated to New York City in the 1980s to become a writer. She became famous for her column "Ask Marilyn" in Parade magazine, where she responded to the questions from readers on various topics such as logic, mathematics, and personal advice. Her column increased popularity very soon, and she published a number of books, including "Ask Marilyn," "The Power of Logical Thinking," and "The World's Most Famous Math Problem" 

In 1987, Marilyn wed Dr. Robert Jarvik, the creator of the Jarvik-7 artificial heart. She worked as the Chief Financial Officer for Jarvik Heart, Inc., and participated in several educational and scientific organizations

Famous Contributions of Marilyn's

One of Marilyn's most well-known achievements that everyone knows was the solution to the Monty Hall problem, a probability challenge. In 1990, she detailed how winning is more likely by switching doors in the game show context, a solution that provoked widespread debate and controversy among mathematicians and the general public.
